We have FREE live music every Friday on the bandstand in the courtyard or upstairs in De Koffie Pot depending on the weather.

26th July – Top Tunes – Joe Mitchell

Since the age of 15, when he was playing around the pubs and clubs of his native Scotland and the North of England, Joe Mitchell has always been an accomplished performer. In his early twenties Joe moved to London where he would develop his ‘chops’ in studios around the capital, working on various projects (film, TV, capital, working on various projects, albums) playing all styles of music. After forming a band, Fivestones, with his song writing partner, they landed a recording contract in New York. Joe spent the next couple of years in the US, playing in small clubs, at large festivals, and appearing on many live radio shows. He also worked on some big brand promotions such as Budweiser and Disney. Sadly, the label ran into trouble, the strain of which split the band. Joe works in various genres from Rock to EDM. Former Bass Player for Gerry and the Pacemakers, has also put a new “Live” solo show together. Working with agents in Birmingham and the S. West, the new show has had a fabulous response from audiences who love the unique take on songs from the sixties to present day. He has had original music placed on TV overseas, and has just had a song picked up for a new British film, and composed an original score for a play featured in the RADA Festival. Always recording and writing new material, and through contacts in the States and Europe, is pitching to publishers and major artists.

The material usually is a mixture of covers of the above including other artists and bands such as Robbie Williams, Damian Rice, Cold Play, Oasis and Snow Patrol. Including some of my own songs that I have written, slotted in between tracks. The set list is compiled pre gig around 15 songs per set with some extra at the end. The equipment being used is a Mic, Amp, Guitar and a Digital Stomp Box for percussion. Public liability insurance is with the Musicians Union

9th Aug – We have 2 artists playing this night

Lee Boswell – 8pm – 9pm

In October of last year I picked myself up and wanted to travel and perform. I’d been writing songs since I was 15 and I’d been in the post punk era of bands and never gone anywhere – but I just love performing so I went to my guitar shop and since I’ve played all round the UK and now I’ve recorded an EP. Without Neil Young this wouldn’t happen – he inspires me greatly and I try to emulate him with a thrashy, gritty mix of organic acoustic sounds. People tell me sweet things about my voice I feel like I can do both – Be pretty and growl. Other inspirations are Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Idlewild and The National. In August I’ll play a lot of new songs but it will be melancholic It always is but with a positive message in every song I write.

SheBeat – 9pm – 10pm

SheBeat is a singer songwriter with perfect portions of hum-along, toe-tapping acoustic indie folk. Since 2013, two self published EPs have been well-received by fans and are available on Spotify for streaming. This indie artist loves performing live to audiences of all sizes, with plenty of intimate gigs and festival stages under her belt.

16th Aug – Anya Pailthorpe

I am a self taught singer-songwriter living in Hereford, and have been playing guitar since the age of 10. I love performing, as well as writing music and being able to show people songs that I have written. My main influences include Dodie Clark and Maisie Peters. I’d say my style is Indie Pop, but that just about covers anything these days!

23rd Aug – Tyler Massey

A mix of unusual covers and my original songs, all done in our own spontaneous, inspired style with acoustic guitar, acoustic bass and percussion.
